In its new national program (NAPS), the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) has set the target of zero new HIV transmissions by 2030.
A number of measures are needed to achieve this goal, in particular to ensure access to testing and treatment. For this reason, HIV against PrEP for people who are particularly exposed to the virus will be covered by compulsory health insurance (basic insurance) from July 1, 2024.
